On Love and Relationships

The day that started out as the worst day of my life turned into one of the most memorable.
It all started when my lovely fiance, Mina, was missing. I learned from a series of texts she was with Dracula, a vampire we've been struggling with for some time now. When I reached the Carfax Estate, it was almost dawn. Mina and Dracula were chatting on the front porch. When Dracula saw me, he became enraged. Apparently he had decided that he wanted Mina to be his wife.

Dracula was all set to battle for her. He had his claws out (no pun intended ) and was ready to fight for the girl. I have much experience negotiating with customers about property, so I knew just how to handle the situation. I encouraged him to sit down with me and we all talked.

Some of the things he said surprised me greatly. At first, I assumed he wanted my wife only to aggravate me, his prime enemy. When he spoke, he changed my mind. I really got a look into his life.

Dracula had lived for over 2,000 years. He hardly remembers his life as a human now. All of his memories from being a vampire are bitter. In the beginning of his reign of vampirism, he tried only sucking the blood of animals and trying to be a regular person. When this proved impossible, he became enraged. Years without anyone as a companion made him an evil person. When he saw how in love Mina and I were, he knew that is what he had been missing.

After a long talk, Dracula apologized. He realized that he'd spent all these years ruining people's lives and now he was just ready for his to end. As the sun came up, Van Helsing did the honor of driving a stake through his heart ending his 2,000 years of hell.

This experience really showed me how everyone, even "mythical" creatures need love. Hopefully if you are reading this, you'll share some love with someone who needs it.
